About

Akshayakalpa is an organic food brand that started its journey with organic dairy products and later diversified to other product ranges, including honey, batter, cold-pressed oil, and fruits.

It has its own app, enabling shoppers to place orders and avail subscriptions for daily-use items like A2 milk. In addition, many of Akshayakalpa's bestsellers are also sold on marketplaces like Amazon, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and others.

Notable Initiatives

🐮 Care for the Cows: Globally, the dairy industry is infamous for the inhumane treatment of cows. Akshayakalpa, through its humane approach, is giving the cows the care they deserve. Cows at farms associated with Akshayakalpa get the following:

  • Access to organic fodder and clean water at all times
  • Ample space to roam around freely, which helps cows be stress-free
  • Access to an on-call vet facility, ensuring cows are mentally and physically healthy

👨🏽‍🌾 Empowering Farmers Financially: Through its tech-driven, research-oriented, and farmer-first business practices, Akshayakalpa focuses on farmers' welfare and financial upliftment.

The brand started its journey in 2010 with just three farmers, and by 2020, around 480 farmers had joined Akshayakalpa and kickstarted their organic journey.

Akshayakalpa's dedicated team helps farmers comprehensively, from educating them and sharing technical know-how to empowering them with machinery and finances. The team settles the farmers' payments daily, which helps farmers' families secure their future and avoid any instability.

🌱 Clean and Certified Food for the Soul: What goes inside our body affects us and shapes our health. Several of Akshayakalpa's products, including their milk, are certified organic according to the guidelines laid out by Jaivik Bharat and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

Positive Environmental Impact

♻️ Championing Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Philosophy: At Akshayakalpa, they convert cow dung into methane gas, and the residual is used as natural fertiliser, adding to the soil fertility.

Methane gas generated is used to run machinery at their associated farms and as fuel in the kitchen.

In addition to cow dung, coconut husks are also used as fertiliser. Monocropping is discouraged, and various crops are planted on farms to increase biodiversity and improve the soil's long-term health.
